Check it out, it seems to be pretty popular in Japan. Mambonsai

well, I don't know how popular it actually is. I imagine it's more of a novelty than anything. But if it can put a little life into the stodgy old school bonsai culture its a good thing. It would be nice if he was actually using decent looking trees, however.

Yeah, it sounds like it is attracting young people into trying it, so that's good I think. It sounds a bit nicer of a concept to me than pop bonsai from last year.

He needs to get together with the guy who runs the Crash Bonsai site. He could put the miniature crashed vehicles on his mambonsai. laugh.gif

Like the Tank in that Nick Lenz forest.(I think its his). Really, a forest with a little plastic tank. Pretty funny, and actually reminds me of WW2 pictures of german military.

I thiiiink that it's a bonsai tree with little people or animals that make a picture. Like two people sitting together on a little bench, with bonsai trees behind them, all in scale and such.

Not quite I believe your thinking of mame bonsai, although they do sound pretty similar.. well depending on how you pronouce "mambonsai" I guess. This apparantly is just Bonsai trees with little figures to make it appear like its a true scene, just reproduces a great deal smaller.
